No matter how fun it can be to transition styles and morph into new versions of yourself, sometimes natural is just better – plain and simple. Pop singer and hair icon, Dua Lipa proved that you don’t have to try very hard to achieve hair love, by crowd sourcing her next style on IG.
Bringing brunette back
Posting a pic of her iconic ultra-saturated brunette bob, Dua asked her nearly 50 million of followers, “should I bring her back?”
The answer was a resounding, yas, bitch, yassss. And as many fire emojis as you can count.
Back by popular demand
Dua took our collective advice, and democracy ruled over her major hair decision. The Future Nostalgia songstress brought her signature brunette back on July 16. The results were, of course, stunning and kind of happily familiar – maybe we all collectively associate the brunette Dua with simpler times, at least subconsciously?
A transition timeline
This is the pop maven’s seventh major change since last October – she first made headlines with her inimitable two-toned lob, followed by surprisingly subtle rainbow highlights over the original bleach, she then went pretty much fully blonde and as if she hadn’t blown our minds enough, cut long wispy bangs, which she dubbed “the new normal,” and went through a few variations of sorbet, from mango to raspberry to pink.
Trend alert?
Now that the hair transitions are a wrap (at least for now) does it mean more celebs will bring back their natural hues? We’ll have to stay tuned to see what kind of impact this trendsetter makes among her Hollywood brethren and if a return to 2017 hair becomes it’s own “back by popular demand” thang.
